When Sacred Calendars Converge: A Model for Pluralistic Coexistence

This February marks a rare alignment: the Lunar New Year, the beginning of Ramadan, and the start of Lent converge in a rare synchronization. Writing in The Christian Century, scholar Celene Ibrahim uses this cosmic convergence as a lens for examining how diverse traditions can occupy the same temporal and social space without crowding each other out.
