GLORIA ABRAMOFF - Managing Director of Factual TV, Film and Audio: Creators Inc

 Gloria Abramoff is a trained social work. With energy and commitment to ‘change the world’ early on in her career she moved into journalism and broadcasting, believing that content could have more impact on social justice and education. She has 40 years’ experience in the creative industries. In her first job at the BBC she was instrumental in pioneering ‘access’ programmes amongst London’s diverse communities.

After a short stint as a Charity CEO, she helped launch London’s new BBC radio station, GLR, pioneering all the community programmes where new talent on and off air emerged. Following her time at GLR, she became the first MD of Social Action programming for the entire BBC’s Nations and Regions platforms, before becoming the first Creative Director and MD of the BBC’s charity Children In Need, transforming the charity’s relationship with the broadcaster and developing it into a fit for purpose enterprise. Leaving the BBC, she set up her own company, Tonic Productions, making content for BBC platforms, corporates and charities, and becoming a Trustee of Jamie Oliver’s Food Foundation as well as a Trustee of the Separated Child Foundation. At Creators Inc. she continues a career dedicated to making a difference as Managing Director of the factual division having recently won commissions to produce content in the well-being and spiritual space and recently selling a major documentary to Warners, which is a contemporary take on the holocaust and anti semetism. She is a mentor giving her time to developing and supporting new and established off air talent across both the mainstream and streaming platforms. 

She lives in northwest London with her husband and has boy/girl twins in their 30’s.
